VIVAnews - Ajang Grammy Awards ke-54 menjadi milik penyanyi asal Inggris, Adele. Penyanyi berusia 23 tahun ini memborong enam piala dalam acara yang digelar di Los Angeles, Minggu malam, 12 Februari 2012 waktu setempat itu.
Adele sukses mengantongi piala untuk kategori Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, dan Best Short Form Music Video.
Di kategori Album Of The Year, Adele sukses mengalahkan album 'Wasting Light' milik Foo Fighters, 'Born This Way' milik Lady Gaga, 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' milik Bruno Mars, dan 'Loud' milik Rihanna.
Saat menerima penghargaan di atas panggung, Adele berterimakasih kepada dokternya yang telah membantu pemulihan dirinya pasca operasi tenggorokan. "Melihat performa vokal saya, saya harus berterimakasih kepada dokter saya yang telah mengembalikan suara saya," ujar Adele seperti dilansir Reuters, Senin, 13 Februari 2012.
Tahun 2011 memang menjadi masa emas bagi sang penyanyi. Album milik Adele bertajuk '21' berhasil terjual lebih dari 6,3 juta copy di AS dan memecahkan berbagai rekor, termasuk bertahan di puncak album Billboard selama 19 pekan.
